Halloumi Fritters
with Lettuce Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 piece of halloumi
  • 1 head of romaine lettuce
  • 6-7 walnut pieces
  • 50 g tahini
  • ½ small garlic clove, grated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Salt and black pepper
  • ½ grated halloumi
  • ½ grated carrot
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup flour
  • Salt, dried mint, black pepper

Instructions:

  • Prepare the Halloumi Fritters:
    • Mix all the fritter ingredients together. Form small balls using a spoon and fry them in deep oil until golden brown.
  • Assemble the Salad:
    • Spread the tahini sauce on the bottom of a plate. Place halved romaine lettuce leaves on top.
    • Add the halloumi fritters on top of the lettuce.
    • Finally, sprinkle with grated halloumi and broken walnut pieces.
